EPMN CIC

Management & Business Structure

The Network is changing. It is moving from an unconstituted steering group led organisation to a formalised Community Interest Company to protect and preserve the sustainability of the group’s activities. As with all change, comes a period of transition, where the organisation adapts to its new management structure and practice.

The Every Parent Matters Network has become a Community Interest Company (CIC) which is a limited company, with special additional features, as it is created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage.

The Directors of the CIC are Members of the company and their focus and direction is decided upon by a large Membership. The development of the CIC is Membership led.

A Steering Group exists, which includes the Directors, and who represent the Membership for day-to-day decisions. Members can be voted to both the Steering Group and for Director status. The composition of the Steering Group is limited to 10 Members. At all times the Network will strive to encourage representation from diverse sections of the community on the Steering Group.

Merseyside Expanding Horizons will act in an advisory capacity to the Steering Group and Board, and will manage the finances of the CIC through a Service Level Agreement.

Members are partner organisations who work with parents and families. Representatives of statutory organizations, including Local authority departments and health organizations are also included within the Membership.

The Steering Group is supported in its work by the Project Coordinator, Paul Barnard.
