Starting a business can be daunting and these are just some of the questions that you might ask before you take that first step.

Initial Workshops

Get a taster of entrepreneurship and self-employment with our initial workshops to help introduce you to the many things that you will need to consider before starting your own business.

Business professionals from Weston Spirit Trading will be on hand to give FREE advice on how to develop you business idea. You will also receive a personal development plan and be given FREE workshop materials and business books.

No commitment at this stage to enrol onto the pre start enterprise programme

Pre Start Enterprise Programme

The programme is designed to kick start your move into self- employment and give you the skills needed to develop your business idea. The pre start enterprise package includes up to 4 days pre start business support provided by Weston Spirit Trading. You will also receive one-to-one help and guidance from a buddy/mentor provided by Merseyside Expanding Horizons (plus personal support as required by referring agency).

Expert business advisors will help you to develop specific ideas for business and then work with you to develop them into a business plan. This support will be flexible and tailored to suit your needs.

We recognise that lack of finance could be a barrier to getting you started in business so those enrolled onto the programme will be entitled to FREE financial assistance to help develop your business idea.
 
The programme will be fully accessible to meet everyone’s needs. Materials will be in accessible formats and we will ensure BSL interpreters will be present at events as required.

We will offer benefit advice if required.

By the end of the programme you will know whether self employment is an option for you!!
